At Summers Corner, we’re shining a spotlight on local makers and artisans, and find supporting them also strengthens us. So how do we quench our thirst for local products?
One of our favorite ways is with handcrafted sodas by the Summerville natives at Cannonborough Beverage Company. The fresh, all-natural fruit concoctions are created using seasonal fruits paired with aromatics to add complexity. Natural sweeteners, like cane sugar and honey, are added to balance the tart with the sweet. The mixture is force carbonated and bottled in small batches, with flavors that vary by season thanks to the help of farmers across the Southeast. Signature flavors include grapefruit elderflower and raspberry mint.
Truly – we just can’t get enough. We served the fizzy drinks at last year’s Charleston Wine & Food Festival, at all our pre-opening events, and now we’re offering them up here at the Corner House café. You can enjoy the sparkling drinks by the glass or fill up a growler to take home. Growlers of the good stuff are also available at Total Wine and at the Charleston Farmers Market.
