Backyard Poultry Workshop

Clemson Extension will offer a one day Backyard Poultry Workshop Friday, September 18 from 10am until 4:30pm at the Summerville Depot (320 North Laurel St) Summerville, SC.
If you are interested in keeping backyard poultry at your home in Summers Corner, or need help growing your flock, they will cover the basics of getting started, feeding and nutrition, housing (mobile vs. permanent), selecting quality birds, biosecurity basics and predator control.

Speakers include Dr. Mickey Hall, Associate Professor, Clemson University, Dr. Julie Helm, Field Extension Veterinarian, Clemson University, Mrs. Amber Starnes, Area Livestock and Forages Agent, Clemson University and Mr. Lee Van Vlake, Area Livestock and Forages Agent, Clemson University.

Registration fee is $70 and includes a flash drive containing all handouts, lunch, and refreshments.
