Grand Reopening and Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony Gibbes Museum

Be one of the first people to walk through the newly renovated Gibbes Museum of Art! 

10am: Join the Gibbes Board of Directors, elected officials, and distinguished guests on the front plaza for the Ribbon-Cutting Ceremony (Free to the public) 

10.30am-1pm: Meet our first Visiting Artist Sonya Clark and participate in her project “Pluck and Grow.” (Free to the public)

10.30am-5pm: Explore the new galleries and experience our two temporary exhibitions: The Things We Carry: Contemporary Art in the South and Beyond Catfish Row: The Art of Porgy and Bess. (Free to Museum Members; $12 adults; $10 seniors, military and students; $6 children age 4-7; free children age 0-1)
